Let me tell you a story…
My love of fitness began at the age of 19. I didn’t like myself, and exercise was a way to help me cope with the anxiety and depression that comes from being Bipolar. It also helped me gain confidence. Later in life, after I had my three children, I became obsessed with weight.
I developed an eating disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, and Orthorexia. I would have panic attacks over food, so I ate as little as possible. The constant exercising for two hours or more a day along with an eating disorder wreaked havoc on my body. I never took a day off and never gave my body rest even if I was sick or just exhausted.
Soon I was faced with more health problems. In my early 40s, I was diagnosed with a pituitary brain tumor which affected my hormones. I developed hypothyroidism and HPA axis dysfunction, and in my mid-40s, I developed the auto-immune disease, Lupus. I was a single mother of three young teenagers, struggling financially at that time. The years of chronic stress I put my body through, along with years of chronic dieting, had depleted me. I ended up bedridden for six weeks. I knew I had to make serious lifestyle changes; I had three children depending on me.

Everything changed once I got rid of the diet mindset and instead focused on nourishing my body. I committed to my health, not to another quick fix. I figured out what I needed to do to make a real impact on my life and health. I reframed my thinking around food not in terms of what I “can” and “cannot” eat but by breaking it down to its nutritional value and how it impacts my health.
Changing an entire lifestyle happens one step at a time and with having support. None of it was easy, but it was worth it.

It took me many years and many illnesses to realize that it is ok if I miss a workout or if I eat a cookie, my world will not end. Life is too short to constantly stress over counting calories, tracking your food intake in an app, feeling guilty or ashamed for eating something, or not getting your 10,000 steps each day.

I FOUND A NEW PURPOSE...
My experiences were challenging but they changed my life in wonderful ways. Now I’m on a path to help others! I want to help you reclaim your life and lose weight for good simply by breaking the dieting addiction! I will show you how to change your mindset toward food and fitness. I am here to share my tips, tricks, and strategies with you.
